Here's Gentle Giant!! one of the greatest band ever, i hope you know them...

and here's my first band portrait too!! i just couldn't draw just one member of the band.. so i decided to draw the hole band

from left to right: Derek Shulman, Gary Green, Kerry Minnear, Ray Shulman and John Weathers

I've never heard of Gentle Giants... but looking at this spectacular charcoal drawing definetly makes me want to check their stuff out!! This piece has such a great flow to it! I love the darkness to it.

Gentle Giant was a band composed of gods. I heard that their live shows were amazing.

I have a dvd of a couple of live shows they did down in '74...it's great...they are great!

looking at all the darkness in the original picture made me think this was perfect for charcoal!

This is an awesome portrait. I agree, the contrast looks great. It looks like their personalities really came out through the drawing too.

And yeah, I haven't heard of them! I'm definitely going to give them a listen!
